Provincial Nominee Programs (PNP)

 

Provinces and Territories in Canada are able to nominate immigrants through the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP). Applicants applying under a PNP program must demonstrate that they have the skills, education, or work experience that will be an asset to the economy and the labour needs of that Province or Territory. Some of the qualifications are:

  • Must demonstrate the intention and ability to reside in that province or territory, and any ties to the province such as education gained within that province
  • Full-time permanent job offer in skilled occupations from an eligible employer, with the appropriate qualifications, training, skills accreditations required for the job
  • Entrepreneurial experience and the funds and potential to create business and job opportunities in the province
  • Sufficient settlement funds, if applicable
